Square Bathroom Taps

Looking around at new ranges of square bathroom taps and I came across the Navona collection which is a brand new range which I had not noticed before, it has a lever that is flush to the top of the handle which is a slightly unusual approach but very neat in design, although this is a small range it has every thing that is required for a bathroom, in the collection is either a pair of basin taps or a  mono block basin mixer, there is a bidet mixer and for the bath the choice of a separate pair of bath taps a bath filler or a bath shower mixer.

In the picture to the left is the mono bloc basin mixer and a bath filler, to know the quality of the product the handles have to be smooth in operation which is generally a good test of the quality brassware and these are certainly up the the standard I would expect.

Value for money is where this range really stands out the basin taps come in at just £55.00 with the basin mixer just £63.00 even the bath shower mixer is well priced at £156.00 which makes this range my choice for quality at a price, if you would like to view the whole range on offer then just click here.

Bauhaus – Bathroom Furniture

Bauhaus Bathroom Furniture is designed to be flexible to suit most bathrooms, looking into the ranges on offer I want to start with the Elite Dune furniture, this basin unit was chosen for a display in our London showroom as it caught our eye immediately for its simplicity and clean lines.

The base units themselves come with push open close drawers with soft close mechanism and give plenty of room for bathroom storage.

There are three sizes available for the basins and drawer units 50 cm, 70cm or 100cm, and there are also an additional three wall hung units available with soft close doors, a tall tower unit , a half tower or a short storage unit.

There is also a matching Elite Dune mirror available with an optional light.

The three high gloss resin basins that go with this range are beautifully manufactured to suit and are only available for use with a mono bloc basin tap.

The Bauhaus Elite range of bathroom furniture is also available in either a Panga or walnut finish which looks just as classy.

Helix Cross – Bathroom taps

Helix Cross bathroom taps have a minimal tubular design with neat cross head handles that are stylish and functional which is why they sell so well in today’s bathroom market.

The designs available in the Helix bathroom taps range are as follows, for choices of Basin mixers you have the monobloc basin mixer with small spout (pictured right), a three hole wall mounted basin mixer, a three hole deck mounted basin mixer.

There are of course both pairs of Helix basin taps and Helix bath taps.

For the bath there are also a good range of choices to be had starting with the Bath fillers where you get a choice of two versions with different sized spouts a larger and a smaller spout, you can also use the wall mounted 3 hole bath filler or a deck mounted 3 hole bath filler, there is even the ability to use there deck mounted side bodies and a overflow bath filler with the use of the Helix Cross free flow bath filler overflow.

For bath shower mixers you could use the two standard options of a small spout bath shower mixer or the large spout bath shower mixer, the last option for bath shower mixers is the four hole bath shower mixer where you have a hot and cold deck side body with a spout that has a built in diverter to change over from the bath spout to the shower handset with pull out hose.

Showering with the Helix Cross thermostatic showers is full of options as well, you have both oval and square back plates on offer to choose from. The recessed dual control shower valve with square back plate is the best selling option, then there is the same dual control valve with a built in diverter to use with two outlets, the triple shower valve (shown left) is designed to be able to control two outlets at the same time.

Hudson Reed Tec Crosshead bathroom taps

The Tec crosshead bathroom taps and showers from Hudson Reed are really well formed good quality brass ware.

With the cross head shaped handle and a huge selection to choose from the Tec is certainly good value for money.

For choices you get the monobloc basin mixer with swivel spout (pictured left) or the same mixer tap with with a small spout, a large and small spout cruciform basin mixer with two handles,  separate pairs of basin and bath taps, a three hole deck mounted basin mixer with pop up waste or a three hole wall mounted basin mixer, for the bath you have a three hole deck mounted bath filler or a 4 hole bath shower mixer with pullout hose. For a different approach use the Tec Crosshead Free flow Bath Filler Pop up Waste or utilize the minimalist standpipes with handset holder.

For the Hudson Reed Tec showers there are just as many options with a massive 7 thermostatic shower valves to choose from starting with the Tec Pura thermostatic shower valve a neat rectangular back plate for shower head or handset and hose, you could also choose the same Tec Pura shower valve with diverter, or if you want to operate two items at the same time then use the Tec Pura triple shower valve with diverter this shower valve the middle handle controls your temperature and the top and bottom handles control water flow. The bottom handle controls flow to a single outlet and the top handle diverts water flow between two single outlets, or for just two outlets the Tec Pura triple valve with two stop cocks.

Hudson Reed Kubix Bathroom Taps

Hudson Reed Kubix Bathroom taps and showers have been made with the square edges cut to perfection and are one of their best selling ranges, the angular faces are highly polished and will sit well in any modern bathroom. The choices are from a monobloc basin mixer an open spouted basin mixer, what they describe as a cruciform basin mixer with separate on/off handles a bath filler, a bath shower mixer, and a four hole deck mounted bath shower mixer, one of my favorites is the freestanding bath shower mixer which is thermostatically controlled. There is also a range of thermostatic shower valves to choose from with standard dual control, a two control version with two outlets, and a triple valve with two stop cocks to control two separate outlets at the same time.

Crosswater Zeal Bathroom Taps

Crosswater Zeal bathroom taps are another of there new collections that have emerged this year, very square in design with an unusual cut out on the handle of the tap and a neat flat spout.

The range is a high pressure range only which you will need a minimum pressure of about 1.0bar to operate.

Within the Zeal collection you have the monobloc basin mixer with no pop-up waste so you will need to use a click clack waste, there is a tall mono bloc basin mixer for use with freestanding bowls, there is also a very unusual wall mounted bath shower mixer as you can see from the image to the right, the diverter is mounted on the fascia of the mixer and the handle at the end, it has a neat square wall bracket and shower handset.

To complete the Crosswater Zeal tap and shower range you get to choose between two different versions of manual shower valves one with and one without a diverter which can be used for either showering or filling a bath.

Elite Bathroom Taps – From Crosswater

Newest launch for Crosswater is the Elite bathroom taps, again small as a range but as with the Crosswater way of thinking it is very individual and is designed with the precision you have come to expect from Crosswater.

The Elite side lever mono bloc basin mixer feels like it has been moulded into its shape and must be one of the most practical designs I have seen for years cleaning almost with one sweep of a cloth there is no fuss about the shape at all. With the other items in the range of bathroom taps and mixers you get the same clean edge of design although as with some of the latest releases coming out of KBB Birmingham this year there are only five items to choose from adding to the basin mixer is the tall monobloc basin mixer, the monobloc bath filler a monobloc bath shower mixer with pull out hose and handset and a single bath spout which is deck mounted.

Crosswater Click – bathroom taps

Click is one of Crosswaters new ranges of bathroom taps which was launched at KBB Birmingham this March, at present it is available as a monobloc basin mixer, bath shower mixer and a bath filler only but I am sure if it proves to be a success the range will be extended further into shower valves and other taps and mixers.

I really like the shape of the spout and the flat handles giving a neat easy to grip handle.

All the items are designed to work well on a low pressure system needing only 0.2bar to operate and will work well with all high pressure systems as well.

The basin mixer tap comes with out a pop up waste so you will need to add a clicker waste or free flow waste to complete the look.

The Click basin mixer is RRP £199.00, The Bath shower mixer is RRP £419.00 and the Bath filler is £359.00.

Bristan Prism Black and Chrome

WOW! is all I can say for the new Prism collection additions black and chrome from Bristan it looks so sexy it’s unreal, I am in love with this Prism black thermostatic shower pole complete with 200mm fixed shower head and diverter to it’s shower handset. With it’s swooping form and clean design this Prism Shower Pole provides a unique showering experience.

To add to the range there is also matching Prism black and chrome bathroom taps a small but precise collection, starting with the monobloc basin mixer then there is a mini monobloc basin mixer, a deck mounted bath filler and a bath shower mixer to complete set.

Bristan Chill Bathroom Taps

Bristan’s chill bathroom taps and showers are one of the best ranges they produce with the full individual flair in the Danish design, The flatness of the spouts within the range are inspiring, on the handle is a engineered square grip which doubles its function as a flow control.  Chill basin mixer tap is sure to excite you into creating a truly contemporary bathroom.

It is not a huge range but it will satisfy most bathing and showering requirements the first and most sold item within the range is the monobloc basin mixer as pictured on the right it is available with or without a pop up waste and also in a taller version without a pop up waste, there is a two hole basin mixer option as well with a neat square escution plate for mounting both the spout and the control valve, you can also use a version with a rectangular base plate to join the spout and the control valve together.

For the bath there is a standard bath shower mixer and five different ways to fill the bath, you can use a simple wall mounted control and spout two versions of a deck mounted bath filler both designed to match the basin mixers. or you could use either the shower valve with built in diverter and a bath filler over flow or the three way shower valve with a stop cock and diverter so you can add a pull out hose for rinsing out the bath or just washing your hair.

Bristan Chill Showers.

There are four opinions for the shower, the first option pictured to the left is a thermostatic shower valve that can be mounted either on the surface or recessed into the wall, it comes complete with a riser rail kit and a really neat stylish single function shower handset.

In the recessed only options which are also thermostatic you have the choice of a dual function with a flow control and a temperature control handle ideal for either a shower kit or a fixed position shower head, then there is a shower valve with diverter so two items can be controlled and my favorite the three way valve (pictured right) which is the same as the diverter option with the added bonus of a stop cock on/off control fitted below the thermostat that can be used simultaneously with either of the top outlets or individually on its own.
