Bathroom cabinets in high gloss white are not my favorite cabinets but when you look around at present there are so many bargins to be had. Mini Basin Mixers have become all the rage now with manufacturers they are launching more models all the time, I have been looking into this phenomenon and it is based around the common use of smaller cloakroom basins being squeezed into WC’s to create a cloakroom out of a toilet.

The One from Crosswater is a new concept in basin mixers, the idea is when the body of the tap is pulled towards you the water flow is turned on and when swung to the left its hot and to the right its cold.

A design innovation in brassware from Crosswater and the One monobloc basin mixer certainly is that.

When it comes to shower pumps the Salamander RSP 50 is a good choice as it is quiet and reliable, out of all of Salamanders ranges of booster pumps I think this is the cream of the crop, Why I hear you ask? Several reasons, it’s centrifugal so it is quiet, it’s 15mm pipe connections so its just perfect for a standard thermostatic shower valve and small shower head, it’s flow rate is exceptional for a 1.5 bar pump and it’s cheap.

Curved heated towel rails are selling in far greater numbers now as bathroom designers are getting bored of the flat look, they are in fact far more practical as there is more clearance behind the heated towel rail for placing towels neatly.

A little trick I learnt for placing towels on the radiator for displaying heated towel rails in my showroom has stayed with me today as it is not only a great look but there are other hidden benefits.

Here’s the tip, hang the towel (folded length ways) over the first gap in the rails then tuck into the second gap so that the towel is behind the rail, it not only looks neat it also makes the heat project forward.
