The Guru Tap Designed by young Italian designer Ernesto Messineo who is based in Milan is definatly individual in design, form and function.
Guru Tap is an eco friendly Basin mixer tap that provides you the opportunity to save water also delivering enough water to use. As you can see in the picture that it directs water flow in an unusual way because water first goes up and then down to a point. The top of the tap is designed from a tinted but transparent material that allows you to see the way water flow
through the mixer tap.
I am sure that we will be seeing more from this collection in the UK in the future, I hope to be seeing more of Ernesto Messineo work as well as he is a truly talented designer.

If you want to find reasons to go for a long weekend in Italy Bologna to be precise, look no further than Cersaie 2008 the Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, In fashion we have had New York – London – Milan, well following Milan why not Bologna its the Gastronomic capital of Italy, The city of red tiled roofs, walk ways, markets and beautiful people, so lets take a sneak preview to whet your lips.
Verso By Catalano have long since been involved in the bathroom supply market in the UK first through Bathstore but have since moved away to independent retail outlets and there quality and design has always been outstanding, bathstore in a cutting costs excercise no longer deal with the sanitary giants and I feel have now lost the edge in bringing in lesser quality products, this new range is another step forward for Catolano and is a huge range that is bound to be a show stopper.
Cut by Tre Emme Rubinetterie is certainly different, This year we have had square spout round body round spout square body, Well the Cut monobloc basin mixer is just different from all the others and is designed with the young in mind, Designer Giancarlo Vegni has really extended himself this time and I am sure this range if it gets to the UK shores will be a big hit.
Cangas washbasin by Ceramica Tecla this double basin will fit into a smaller bathroom it is only 120cm wide and has a projection of 45.5cm compact and neat, With the Wenge cabinet is just right for that his and hers modern bathroom, This basin is an addition to the existing range and is not yet available in the UK, I would not be surprised to see this in a bathroom shop soon.
Cesaie 2008 Bologna…..well worth a visit. “Ciao for now”
